The preservation of wild fauna and flora is one of the sustainable development objectives of Demix. This objective mandated a specialized firm to perform the transplantation of wild garlic and Bloodroot near the Mirabel quarry and track the results of the transplants over a period of three years to help preserve these endangered species.

Demix Béton Drummondville participated in an innovative project to install bat roosts on its silos and buildings. With the maintenance of wooded areas or through their destruction, the natural habitat of these mammals is diminishing. In order to avoid the disappearance of this species, the group GARAF, the Fauna Foundation of Quebec, the school Jean-Raimbault and the Biodome of Montreal propose integrating artificial roots for the bats.
